老年肿瘤疾患的细胞学诊断Cytological Diagnosis of Senile Tumor Diseases

摘要(Abstract)：
<正> 目前多以60岁为进入老年期,而老年期疾病常是在各种组织器官逐渐衰退的基础上发生的。根据国内、外老年疾病的分析结果,主要为心血管病变、肿瘤及感染。尤其对恶性肿瘤,如何早诊、确诊、是提高治愈率、降低死亡率、延长生命期的首要关键。本文目的在于根据我所细胞学实验室对老年肿瘸患者的诊断提出自己的看法,并将1983年元月至1984年6月我室收集的60岁以上老年患者150例细胞学诊断资料作一初步分析与讨论,希望能引起老年病学者的兴趣。
Malignant tumor disease is one of the lethal causes in sonile age. Early and correct diagnosis is a quite important problem, This report is attempted to suggest the cytological diagnoscic method to be a very use- ful one for this purpose. 150 cases of both sexes over 60 years old from the cytological dia- gnostic laboratory of Guizhou Ca- cer Research Institute from January 1983 to June 1984 were studied.i.e. 28 specimens from lymph nodes and 19 from other local masses by fine needle aspiration, 60 from sputum, 18 from thoracic and abdominal flnid and 25 from urine. Every specimen should be prepared at 2 slides, one for Wright's stain, the other for H. E.or "Pap" stain. 62. cases of malignant tumor were diagnosed by cytological methods de- scribed above. (23 metastatic carcinoma, 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, 2 soft tissue sarcoma. 15 squmous carcinoma and 2 undifferentiated carcinoma in sputum, 1 adenocarcinoma in sputum and 8 in thoracic and abdominal fluid, and 7 malignant cases in urine) All of them were checked with bio- psies, X-ray films or other clinical conditions. It is proved true that the positive accuracy of cytological dia- gnosis is about 97% (62:60). From the obvious results, the author wishes to emphasize that cyto- logical diagnosis is of great value in routine examinations, not only by its rapid in diagnosis, economical on cost, and minor from damage, but also by its accuracy in comparison with the biopsies or other clinical examinations. Therefore, it should be used more often as the initial dia- gnostie procedure to establish the be- nign or malignant nature of suspect masses, particularly convenieat in senilities.
