电针和电刺激中脑中缝核群对清醒活动家兔背侧海马神经元自发活动的影响
THE INFLUENCES OF ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE AND ELECTRO-STIMULATION OF THE MIDBRAIN RAPHE ON THE NEURONS AT THE DORSAL HIPPOCAMPUS IN THE CONSCIOU, UNRESTRAINED RABBITS

摘要(Abstract):

采用慢性微电极技术观察电针和电刺激中脑中缝核群(以下称中缝核)对清醒活动家兔135个背侧海马神经元自发活动的影响。实验见到电针“合谷”穴,使69.3%海马神经元激活。重复电刺激中缝核有23.5%海马神经元被激活。先予电针,停针5min后,在电针后效应的基础上电刺激中缝核则有68.5%海马神经元被激活。若同时电针和电刺激中缝核,海马神经元激活率进一步增高,达86.6%。上述结果表明:电针能调制背侧海马神经元活动,而且能提高电刺激中缝核激活海马神经元的机率。电针与电刺激中缝核可使多数海马神经元进一步激活。提示中缝核可能作为电针调制海马神经元的驛站之一,参与针刺镇痛过程。
With chronic microelectRode technique, a bipolar stimulating electrode was implanted into the midbrain raphe nuclei (P_(9-10), LRO_(.5), H-_6) of the rabbit brain. Parameters of the stimulation were as follows: square waves; wave width: 0.5 msec; intensity: 10 volts. Point "Hegu" was stimulated by electro-acupuncture with a frequency of 3 cycles/sec, the intensity was as to elicit a slight trembling of the extremities. 134 dorsal hippocampus units were recorded in 55 rabbits (P_(4-5), LR_(4-5), H_(6-3.5).). The results were as follows: 1. The frequencies of the spontaneous activity at the dorsal hippocampus were analysed. 62.4% (63/101) were med-frequency units (1-10 spikes/sec), 33.6% (34/101) were high-frequency units (>10 spikes/sec) and 4% (4/101) were low-frequency units (<1 spikes/sec). 2. The effects of the electro-acupuncture on point "Hegu" were observed in 101 units, of which 70 units were excited (69.3%); 9 inhibited (9%). Most of the neurons excited were reed-frequency units (57.1%). An after-effects were exhibited after the cease of electro-acupuncture. 3. The effects of electro-stimulation of the midbrain raphe nuclei were observed in 34 units. 23.5% (8/34) showed excitation, 20.6% (7/34) showed inhibition and 56% (19/34) ineffective. 4. 54 units excited by electro-acupuncture were observed. 37 units (68.5%) of them were excited after 5 minutes of the ceasing of electro-acupuncture. It might be suggested that the after-effects of electro-acupuncture were able to raise the probability of excitatory effect of electro-stimulation of the midbrain raphe. 5. When electro-acupuncture and electro-stimulation were performed simultaneously in 36 units, 30 units showed excitatory effect (83.3%). It suggested that electro-acupuncture and electro-stimulation of midbrain raphe could further increase the spontaneous activity of the dorsal hippocampus neurons. From the results, it is believed that the midbrain raphe nuclei probaly play a role as a relay station transfering the impulses of electro-acupuncture and modulating the activity of neurons in the dorsal hippocampus. It might be concluded that the dorsal hippocmpus was involved in the process of the electro-acupuncture analgesia.
