用死卡介苗保护小白鼠防止柏氏鼠疟原虫(P.berghei)感染
Protection of mice against Plasmodium berghei with BCG

摘要(Abstract):

<正> 用卡介苗保护动物防止感染寄生原虫,如巴贝斯虫(Babesia)、弓浆虫(Toxopl-asma gondii)和锥虫(Frypanosoma)等曾先后有报告。Clark等(1976)用活卡介苗静脉接种小白鼠以保护小白鼠不感染柏氏鼠疟原虫约氏亚种(P.berghei yoelii)和芬氏疟原虫(P.vinckei)获得成功。1978年我们用死卡介苗经皮下、皮内不同途径接种小白鼠,然后用柏氏鼠疟原虫攻击,观察小白鼠能否受到保护。
Attempts were made to protect mice against PIasmodium berghei with BCG. The BCG was inactivated at 56℃ for one hour. The Plasmodium berghei had been maintained by passage of blood from mice to mice. Mice were vaccinated each with 5 mg inactivated BCG and repeated for five times at intervals of 7 days. Group 1 of 35 mice were given subcutaneously while group 2 of 45 mice intracutaneously. Thirty days after the 5th vaccina- tion, the mice of each group along with a contral group of 10 mice were challenged with 2. 9×10~6 Plasmodium berghei by intraabdominal inoculation. All mice produced parasitemia on the 2nd~7th day after challenge. All mice of group I died on day 11th~17th after challenge and apparentIy showed no protection. On the other hand 11. 4~20% of the mice of group 2 became parasitemia free on day 23rd~31st and remained negative after 10 manths when sacrificed. It is concuded that by intraeutaneous infection of inactivated BCG, some mice might gain protection against Plasmodium berghei, though the percentage of success is low.
