人红细胞膜唾液酸含量与细胞“年龄”的关系

摘要(Abstract):

用硫代巴比妥酸法检测不同生命期(青、中、老龄)的人红细胞膜唾液酸含量,发现随着细胞“年龄”的增长,膜唾液酸含量呈持平后下降的趋势。与青、中龄红细胞相比较,老龄红细胞唾液酸含量约下降14%左右。
The erythrocytes of the human being were separated into three groups: the young, middle-aged and old, based on their different osmotie fragility. From the extracted cell membranes the sialic acid (SA) content was measured using Aminnoff's method. The values of SA were 28.87±0.87, 28.76±1.20 and 24.83±1.57 μg/mg (SA/membrane protein, mean±SE) in the young (n=37), middle-aged (n=31) and old group (n=20), respectively. The analysis of variance revealed that the membrane SA content of the old group was the lowest (P<0.05) and there was no difference between the middle-aged and young groups. It seemed that as the survival time of the erythrocytes lengthened, the membrane SA content did not decrease until erythrocytes got old. Furthermore, we found that the proportion of old erythrocytes increased in the blood of the old human being. Therefore, the general membrane SA content of the erythrocytes could probably be used as an objective standard of human aging.
